Paws for Training teaches at the following locations...

COCOA VETERINARIAN HOSPITAL (636-2230) and
PORT ST JOHN VETERINARIAN HOSPITAL (636-7001)

NEW Locations!!
  PORT ST JOHN COMMUNITY CENTER (633-1904) and 
 SANDRIFT COMMUNIY CENTER in Titusville (264-5037)!!
     Classes meet once a week and last 1 hour.
     
Training Booklets are Included!  
8 weeks and up - no dog is too young or too old to learn!  



We must have 4 dogs enrolled before we will run any class.  If, for any reason, the class is cancelled, you will have the option of waiting for the next class or going to another location.
First Step Obedience Course
(8 weeks of age & up) $65 for six weeks

Socialization skills, talks on dog care and minor behavioral problems such as housebreaking and chewing;
covers all basic obedience commands including Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Loose Leash Walking, as well as Leave It; Positive reinforcement is utilized to motivate the dogs and there owners. Provides a great start for any dog!

There are three different sections - information for owners, obedience, and socialization.  All three sections are equally important, and we will cover all three in each session. A rewarding relationship will be developed while a strong bond is formed through the use of positive reinforcement training.


Next Step Obedience Course
(Prerequisite: First Step Obedience) $65 for six weeks

This course furthrs your dog's ability to execute the basic commands; new distractions will be added to challenge your dog's obedience.  In this course, we will begin to have your dog respond to hand signals. Fast paced heeling with sudden starts, stops, and turns.
                                        


Rally O Level 1
(Prerequisite: First Step Obedience or equivalent) $70 for a 7 week Course

What is Rally Obedience?

Rally is a fun and exciting team sport for dogs and their owners!

Dog and owner team navigate a course with numbered signs indicating different exercises to perform.

PSJ Comm Center - Training is by the Basketball Court, Right Side of Parking Lot.

What Do I Need To Bring?

Small soft food treats for rewards!!

Proof of DHLPP, Rabies and Bordatella vaccinations. Please consult your veterinarian.

Dog collar - Please NO chock collars, prong collars or shock collars.

4 or 6 foot nylon or leather leash. (Please no chain or retractable leashes.)

Please DO NOT FEED YOUR DOG before class. This prevents dogs from eliminating during class and produces a more responsive dog to your rewards.
